The female humblebrag

ClarkHat comments on a female scientist wanting to make sure that everyone knows she is married and her colleagues find her attractive:

Dear fellow scientists. The next time you’re going to google for info of the husband or wedding of a female colleague, think again.

Welcome to the Oort‏ @ClarkHat
A woman humble-bragging about how people wonder if she's single is female intrasexual competition.

It's the more sophisticated "feminist" version of the 22yo posting on facebook "why do all these guys at the club stare at me?"

So the hilarious thing is that a thread NOMINALLY about feminists and against evolved heterosexual and status oriented behaviors...

Is in fact an EXAMPLE of that very thing: a high status woman letting medium and low status woman know that she has tits AND brains.
What's moderately amusing is the fact that these women seem to think no one understands what they're doing or why they're doing it... despite the fact that so many of them do it at every given opportunity.

She's cute but nothing special.

How many of these women are aware of their own behavior and motivation? I'd guess very few of them have much awareness of their behavior beyond the emotional drive that pushes them to engage in it.

This is actually one of the more interesting aspects of feminism imo, the fact that a lot of the behaviors while nominally about equality and against traditional norms actually fit into them. Or as Molyneux calls it, feminism is one giant shit test.

Two questions come to mind while reading this.

1. Why is it still considered high-status to have humility in the modern world?
2. Where is the line between punching down and prestige-seeking? Is there a good way to distinguish one from the other?

Oh, come on. How many women (or men for that matter) have the dimmest clue why they do what they do?

Marionettes or sock puppets all, depending on what is pulling their strings or working their mouths--pre- and subconscious cognition or herd-level parroting of some other clueless clown.

It seems like finding quality people (i.e., those who think for themselves and attempt to connect those thoughts with reality) is as difficult as finding emeralds on a beach.

Twitter and Facebook. Two tools to help crappy, crazy people advertise just how self-absorbed, narcissistic and small-minded they really are.

Male orbit already offered enough of a corrupting influence to attractive women. Social media amplify that immeasurably.

This chick is a high-T, alpha female, similar to Megyn Kelly. She has a fierce jaw (for a woman), that "corporate" haircut that only goes with office-wear and gives an over all, slightly dykish vibe. You can tell from her expression and the length and refinement of her humblebrag that she's completely full of herself and she knows she's above average intelligence and probably in looks as well.

The more pertinent question is: do female scientists humblebrag during work, when they're supposed to, you know, discover shit? No wonder they get paid less than men.

What's especially funny is that I am absolutely certain that 99% of the searches for her husband and wedding information are being made by women.
Men don't really care, especially about a frickin' feminist professor, if they are are married or not.

And I don't know ANY men who search for "wedding" information in google.

Yeah. Straight men would Google "WOMAN NAME" + "husband" or "married". Not "wedding".

Broads should be smart enough to know that.

Her comments remind me of something that my ex-wife would write. She too had a PHD in science.
My nickname for her was “ice-queen”.
When I look at what replaced her, it boggles my mind that any time at all - was wasted in in a relationship with her. These types of women are frigid to their deepest core and deeply damaged.

"WOMAN NAME" + Nude

A bit off topic but a great read nonetheless. Science for sure.
